Here at Cefa-Soft we concentrate in developing the software. We are not a computer hardware company and you are free to use any make or brand of PC you like, or already have within your business. Where we are asked to supply hardware we will generally specify Dell equipment.

Details of our suggested computer hardware are given below.

Till System

In order to run the wHi-PoS software, you will require a computer which runs Microsoft Windows. The actual hardware will depend on the version of Windows installed.

Hardware Requirements

Windows Version	Processor	RAM
Windows Vista	Pentium IV or Centrino	2GB
Windows 2000	Pentium III or Celeron	128MB
Windows XP	Pentium IV	512MB

In all cases the software will need approximely 100MB of disk space.

Server / Main Computer

In every store, one computer should be designated as the master or primary data server for the other computers. Where there are 5 or less computers that will use the software, the comptuer can be a standard computer running Windows 2000 or XP with at least 256MB of RAM. This machine will store all of the data for the other wHi-PoS users and act as a file server.

Where there are more than 5 computers running wHi-POS at the same time you will require a full version of Microsoft SQL Server on a file server running the Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 Server operating system. The specifications for this machine will depend on the total number of users and the volume of data. Please call us to discuss your requirments.
